Meet The Team
Robyn Leighton, LCSW, LSCSW
Robyn Leighton is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW) with a rich background in grief counseling, hospice care, and caregiver support. With degrees in Human Services Counseling from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Kansas (KU), Robyn has dedicated her career to supporting individuals of all ages through complex emotional experiences.
Robyn’s Experience
Robyn has spent over a decade providing personalized care for clients dealing with grief, loss, and caregiving challenges:
- While at Solace House Center for Grief and Healing, Robyn offered therapeutic services for adults and children, helping them find peace and direction during times of grief and loss.
- As a Bereavement Counselor at John Knox Village, she led efforts to support families both before and after the loss of loved ones, ensuring they felt supported every step of the way.
- In her role as a Hospice and Palliative Care Social Worker, Robyn guided patients and families through the end-of-life process with care, compassion, and expertise.
- During her time at the Veterans Health Administration (VA), Robyn facilitated counseling sessions for individuals, groups of veterans, and family members over issues of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder related psychological difficulties, marital and family issues, substance abuse, employment, military trauma, homelessness, and other issues impacting upon a veterans ability to successfully re-enter civilian society.
Robyn’s work also includes coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care, creating outreach programs, and supporting special populations, such as veterans, through her co-chair role in the "We Honor Veterans" program.
